Terms of Service

Effective date: August 21, 2026 · Plumbline Operational Systems LLC ("PlumbLine Ops," "we," "us")

These terms govern your use of our websites, the PlumbLine Ops application, and services including website design, hosting, and marketing automation. By using our services you agree to these terms.

Services

We provide (a) custom website design and build services, (b) subscription software for running a trade business (estimating, invoicing, scheduling, CRM, and related tools), and (c) marketing services including automated content generation, publication to your website and social channels, and email/SMS campaign tools.

Website builds & payment

• If you choose a monthly plan at checkout: no charge is made when you submit your details. You authorize a one-time charge of the stated discounted build price after you approve your free preview, with your monthly plan starting at the same time. This authorization covers charging your saved card when you approve.
• If you don't choose a plan: a 25% deposit is charged when you submit, credited in full against your build price. It is not refundable if you choose not to proceed — it pays for research and drafting work actually performed. The remaining balance is due when you approve your preview.
• If a saved card is declined at approval, nothing is built or charged until payment completes.
• Build-commitment discounts (offered with a monthly plan) carry no minimum term.
• After your site is built you choose: host it with us on a monthly plan, or take your finished site as a download. We'll remind you for 30 days; after that, your download simply remains available in your portal. Nothing you've paid for is ever withdrawn.
• The download contains your finished website — the built site, your content, your images — and setup instructions. It does not include our build system, templates, or tooling. On a self-hosted site, the contact form is repointed to your own email before handover; analytics and review feeds tied to our accounts end at handover.
• Post-launch page additions and build upgrades are priced at the rates shown at purchase; a build upgrade is priced as the larger build's price minus what you have already paid for your build.

AI website edits (hosted plans)

• Content change requests are drafted by an automated system and published only after you approve the exact change shown to you.
• Up to three published changes per day per website. Additional approved drafts are saved and can be published the next day.
• Each account includes a monthly allowance of automated drafting ($5 of measured AI usage — roughly several hundred requests). Past it, requests are held until the allowance resets on the 1st, or handled manually by us.
• You may undo your most recent published change at any time at no cost. Older changes are reverted by us on request.
• Requests outside editable content (layout, pages, photos, service areas) are declined with an explanation and can be quoted as custom work at the prices shown in your portal.

Subscriptions

• Monthly plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. There are no long-term contracts.
• You may cancel at any time from your portal's billing page; service continues through the end of the paid period. Plan downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
• New operations-software accounts start with a 30-day free trial with a card on file: nothing is charged today, your plan renews automatically after the trial, and cancelling before then costs nothing. AI features are not included during trial.
• Operations plans include a set number of user seats and crew members; adding more is billed at the per-seat prices shown at purchase, prorated to your subscription. This authorizes charging your subscription's saved card for seats and crew you add.
• Operations plans include a monthly allowance of AI tokens. Auto-refill is off by default; if you turn it on, that is your authorization for automatic $25 top-ups charged to your saved card, at most 4 per month, with warnings at 80% and 95% of your allowance.
• Online payment processing carries a pass-through fee of 0.45% + 15¢ per transaction on all plans.
• We may adjust plan pricing with at least 30 days' notice; existing subscribers are grandfathered where stated.

Content & approvals

• Automated marketing content is generated from the job information you provide and publishes only after your approval.
• Customer quotes and reviews used in content are drawn verbatim from verified reviews you link — we never invent customer statements.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of business information you provide and for having the right to use photos and materials you upload.

Messaging compliance

If you use text messaging features, you agree to message only recipients who have consented, to honor opt-outs immediately, and to comply with applicable laws and carrier requirements (including TCPA and CTIA guidelines). Registration with carrier systems may be required before texting is enabled, and registration fees set by carriers/registries may apply.

Acceptable use

You may not use the services to send spam, violate any law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt the platform. We may suspend accounts that put deliverability or other customers at risk, and we'll tell you why.

Ownership

Your data is yours. Your completed, fully paid website is yours — including if you later cancel any monthly plan. The PlumbLine Ops software, templates, build system, and related tooling remain ours; no plan grants a licence to them. You grant us the limited rights needed to host your site and operate the services on your behalf. We may decline or reverse automated content that is unlawful, infringing, or misrepresents a business.

Disclaimers & liability

Services are provided "as is." We work hard on uptime, rankings, and results, but we can't guarantee specific search placement, lead volume, or revenue. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
